The Sustainable Development Training Institute provides engaging, effective learning experiences that transform practitioners into change agents for a more sustainably built environment. A division of O'Brien & Company, SDTI is staffed by working professionals who bring their insights and experience to the classroom. With each course, we focus on creating highly informed students who are prepared to achieve sustainability on a practical level.

In general these trainings are not offered regularly to the general public but are given at the request of organizations. Offerings include:
- LEED Study Sessions
Available for the following credential exams: LEED Green Associate, LEED AP BD+C (Building Design + Construction), LEED AP ID+C (Interior Design + Construction), and LEED AP O+M (Operations + Maintenance).- Learning Lite Bites
Mini courses, usually taught over lunch or breakfast, that focus on the key 'need to know' elements of current green building topics- Dark Green Performance with Integrative Design
Learn how to practically apply integrative design to attain more sustainable projects- Build It LEED Training and Toolkit
A course for builders to help them navigate the LEED for New Construction rating system and a Toolkit to provide support for the many documentation requirements

In addition to our current programs, clients hire us to create custom trainings tailored to the needs and interests of their audiences. These training are frequently requested for retreats, in-house trainings, conferences, and hands-on workshops.
