O'Brien & Company provides engaging learning experiences that help people and organizations build their capacity to achieve sustainability of the built environment. Our working professionals create practical, timely curricula and bring their insights and experience to the classroom.  With each course, we focus on creating highly informed students who are prepared to achieve sustainability on a practical level. Current classes include:

  • LEED Study Sessions
    Available for the following credential exams: LEED Green Associate, LEED AP BD+C (Building Design + Construction), LEED AP ID+C (Interior Design + Construction), and LEED AP O+M (Operations + Maintenance).
  • Learning Lite Bitescatalog
    Mini courses, usually taught over lunch or breakfast, that focus on the key 'need to know' elements of current green building topics
  • Dark Green Performance with Integrative Design
    Learn how to practically apply integrative design to attain more sustainable projects
  • Build It LEED Training and Toolkit
    A course for builders to help them navigate the LEED for New Construction rating system and a Toolkit to provide support for the many documentation requirements

Custom Classes & Curriculum Development

In addition to our current programs, clients hire us to create custom trainings that are tailored to the needs and interests of their audiences.  These training are frequently requested for in-house trainings, conferences, and hands-on workshops. We can also create curricula or other custom educational products that can be handed over to our clients for their own use into the future.
