Thornton Place

Thornton Place is a large mixed-use complex under construction near Northgate Mall in Seattle.  The project includes multiple buildings, tenant spaces, and a large parking podium.  As part of the project, the Northgate Commons development team is partnering with the city and other stakeholders in the neighborhood to daylight a creek.

O’Brien & Company is working in the capacity of LEED project manager.  The firm facilitated a meeting to help the owners and developers identify desired green building strategies, and is now leading the effort to implement the plans to LEED Silver certification.  Due to be complete in 2009, O’Brien & Company will be working continuously with the project team to compile and craft successful documentation for LEED certification across many structure types with a large variety materials packages.
