Greening Your Business Booklet
The Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County hired O'Brien & Company to develop a booklet for small businesses and non-profit organizations that would provide helpful tips on how to make their office operations more sustainable. The final booklet includes straightforward tips on the following topics:
| Creating a Green Team |
Alternative Transportation |
| Sustainable Purchasing | Meetings & Events |
| Waste Management | Corporate Social Responsibility |
| Energy Conservation | Financial Incentives |
| Water Conservation | Carbon Accounting |
| Healthy Indoor Environments | Training Resources |
| Reducing Office Toxins | Taking It Home |
In addition, each category contains resources from both the Puget Sound region and around the country.
While originally envisioned for Sustainability Coordinators, the booklet will provide guidance for green teams and sustainability advocates in a wide variety of roles and organizations.
