Green Broker Online Course

The Cascadia Region Green Building Council, in partnership with the Commercial Brokers Association, wanted to have an online course that would educate commercial brokers about green buildings and provide them with a professional certification. O’Brien & Company took the outline provided and fleshed out a 10-module course.

The deliverables included both a student and instructor notebook, lists of recommended and required readings for each topic, attractive PowerPoint slides and a set of quiz and exam questions to ensure students’ comprehension. In addition, our staff narrated several building tour slide shows to be used for the final case study module. To convert the course to the online format, we collaborated with the client’s technical team. The end result is a new self-paced certification course that students can take on their own time to become confident and knowledgeable certified Green Brokers.

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) has approved the technical and instructional quality of this course for 50 continuing education hours towards the LEED Credential Maintenance Program.
