ENERGY STAR Performance Testing

A Puget Sound production builder hired O’Brien & Company to guide them through the requirements of Northwest ENERGY STAR, educate the trades on proper duct sealing and effective ventilation, and provide consistent feedback through performance testing, keeping everyone’s eyes on the goal. Our staff worked diligently with the HVAC team to transform the art of duct sealing from “just another job” into an accomplishment the technicians take pride in. Each installer now initials their work, and competes to see who achieves the best performance when tested.

Consistent delivery to ENERGY STAR standards in a production situation can be a challenge, and rising to such challenges is what made us Northwest ENERGY STAR Verifier of the Year in 2008.
