Planting Trees in the Greenway

The dirt on our volunteer day

The weekend before our 2009 company retreat O'Brien & Company staff carpooled to Lake Sammamish State Park in Issauqah for a planting work party.  Led by the non-profit Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust, the volunteers planted about 350 native trees and shrubs to protect water quality in Issaquah Creek and improve habitat for birds, salmon and other wildlife.

Thanks to our newsletter subscribers who help us set a target, and thanks to all the staff members who came to help us reach it (including those not pictured, of course).  It appears that our commitment to the environment is equal to our commitment to fun.
